Easel Card
Christmas is quickly on its way and I am happy to say that my shopping is done and the presents are stowed away (or already being used). On Black Friday I took 4 of the grandkids (the Virginia ones) shopping. Have you ever taken 3 teens and 1 pre-teen out to buy clothes? It is a real treat. No, really, it is. I only get to see them once a year so it really was fun shopping and getting them things that they wanted, were the right size, and would not be returned.
The following Monday, my daughter and I spent the day shopping for the 2 youngest grandkids. Being in Tennessee, we get to see them a little more often if you call twice a year often.
It was a fun 2 weeks on the road but worth every minute of it. Now, back to creating.
I have made an easel card using the Hung on a Tree rubber stamp set from Red Rubber Designs. This is the first time I have attempted an easel card but will definitely be making more of them.
I stamped the tree image and embossed with clear ep, filled in the leaves and berries with markers, trimmed the image and mounted on dry embossed paper.

Quick and Easy Christmas Ornament
Here is a little ornament that can be made with a mache ornament blank from a craft store. Stamps and ink are from Red Rubber Designs.
For the background I stamped images from Vintage Backgrounds and Vintage Santa in charcoal ink. I stamped and embossed the Ornamental Joy stamp and inked then edges and trimmed with gold and silver tinsel.
On the reverse of the ornament I stamped the same background and added a copy of a vintage postcard.

Winter Sparkles and Mittens
I have used the cutest little stamp set called Winter Sparkles from Red Rubber Designs to enhance my rather primitive home-made mittens. Theses would be a warm, nostalgic addition to a Christmas tree or would also work nicely as a package adornment.

The images are stamped on unbleached muslin and lightly colored with Primsacolor pencils. I purposely wanted the colors muted to look a little more vintage. The ribbon was sprayed with pinecone and silver sprays by Tattered Angels. I embellished with small glittered snowflakes centered with Swarovski crystals. Mittens were lightly brushed with antique glass glitter.

Winter ATCs
I have a few winter ATCs for you today that would also be suitable for Christmas.
I used liquid applique to puff up the snowflakes. Platinum Stickles give the snowflakes peeking out from beneath the layers a little sparkle. All rubber stamps are from Red Rubber Designs and are listed with links at the end of this post.
Once again I used Liquid Applique to highlight the little tree and give it a snowy look.
One good thing about ATCs is that you can trade them or have them on hand for a quick card. I added a few more layers and embellishments and now have a card ready to use. The beautiful blue paper is from the Catelynne Patterned Cardstock Collection also available from RRD.

Santa Mini Album
Over the years I have accumulated a large selection of Santa prints and images. I have taken a few of them and put them in a mini album so I can enjoy looking at them without having to shuffle through a box to see them.
I have used one of the fabulous album kits from Red Rubber Designs. This one is the Woodrowe Keepsake Album Kit. It come with lots of printed pages and accessories. You just punch them out and create making it a quick and easy process.
For the front of the album, I have paper pieced the large tree from the Brushed Christmas rubber stamp set using paper from the album kit. The background script behind the tree is a stamp from the Vintage Santa rubber stamp set.
Using the same evergreen sprig stamp, I made a garland down the side of the page embossing with gold ep.
I used the script stamp from Vintage Santa on the patterned paper and the music stamp from Vintage Background on the green paper.
The wonderful Thomas Nast Santa is one of my favorite stamps and is from the Vintage Santa rubber stamp set. If you look closely at the lower edge (behind the evergreen), I have stamped the year 1881. That was the year that this illustration was first published in Harper's Magazine. It is the most famous and most reproduced of Nast's Santas.
Love and Peace are from the Brushed Christmas rubber stamp set and the script bg is from the Vintage Santa set.
I have used the ink splotch stamp from the Fly Fairy rubber stamp set on these pages. All the tags and frames are included with the Woodrowe Keepsake Album Kit.
On the back of the album I stamped the script from the Vintage Santa set (it seems to be my new go to stamp) and the smaller tree from the Brushed Christmas set.
