Easel Card
Christmas is quickly on its way and I am happy to say that my shopping is done and the presents are stowed away (or already being used). On Black Friday I took 4 of the grandkids (the Virginia ones) shopping. Have you ever taken 3 teens and 1 pre-teen out to buy clothes? It is a real treat. No, really, it is. I only get to see them once a year so it really was fun shopping and getting them things that they wanted, were the right size, and would not be returned.
The following Monday, my daughter and I spent the day shopping for the 2 youngest grandkids. Being in Tennessee, we get to see them a little more often if you call twice a year often.
It was a fun 2 weeks on the road but worth every minute of it. Now, back to creating.
I have made an easel card using the Hung on a Tree rubber stamp set from Red Rubber Designs. This is the first time I have attempted an easel card but will definitely be making more of them.
I stamped the tree image and embossed with clear ep, filled in the leaves and berries with markers, trimmed the image and mounted on dry embossed paper.

Glad you've been having so much fun shopping with the grandchildren - bet they're full of Christmas wishes! Love your elegant easel card.. especially how you've highlighted the embossing in the base section - so pretty, echoing the stamped tree!

Your card is beautiful! Glad you finally got around to trying one. I really like the plain white embossed background. It makes the tree really pop! Very elegant! Sounds like you had fun with the grandkids. Makes me wonder how shopping will be with my boys when they are teens... Enjoy your week, Sarah!

Love your card. that really is pretty. What fun with your grandchildren. I'll be having fun all next week in Disney World with 3 of my grandsons (10, 8, 5)
Beautiful tree and I love all the embossing on your card.
The time spent shopping with the grandkids sounds like a riot. You're right that it's more fun to see them pick out something they won't return later!
Glad to hear you had a great trip spending time with the grandkids! Your card is beautiful and I love that embossed background.
Hugs,
Robin
