Halloween Altered Matchbox

I had so much fun making this altered matchbox for a swap hosted by JoAnne of  Vintage Dragonfly

I used a large (300 count) matchbox for my base and covered it with black cardstock and papers from the Crafty Secrets new CD - Creating With Vintage Halloween CD#4.

I used TH hitch fasteners for feet and a magnetic fastener for ease in opening and closing the box.

Here you can see 3 of the 4 papers that I used to cover the box.

The 4th paper is the music sheet with a beautiful scalloped lace border.

On the top I arranged sheer black ribbon (heat distressed), vintage tinsel trim, orange paper flowers, tiny black roses and a few pumpkin embellishments.

Hope my swap partner likes it! I may have to make another just for me!!

OMG - this is fantastic, I adore the papers and the orange and black work so well together. The prints on those papers are beautiful and the embellishments on the lid really finish it off. At a first glance you'd never believe it was a match box. Your swap partner is very lucky indeed.
Thank you for joining our first challenge at Eclectic Ellapu :) .
