Christmas Treat Bags

Here is how to make a quick Christmas treat bag to package goodies from your kitchen.

Take a brown paper lunch size bag. Cut off about 6 inches from the top of the bag (I used decorative scissors).  Ink inside edge of bag--optional.  Fold over about 1 inch at the top of the bag to form a cuff.  Punch some holes and thread with ribbon, yarn, or twine. Decorate bag as desired. I added vintage jingle bells to the twine. Fill with goodies from your kitchen.

I decorated my bag by stamping the Ginger Joy rubber stamp from Red Rubber Designs onto Kraft cardstock.  The "icing" is white embossing powder.

The tag is stamped with a greeting from the Peace on Earth rubber stamp set also from Red Rubber Designs.  The bag is filled with chocolate chip cookies.

I used the same gingerbread man stamp on this bag but made him look more like the good old fashioned gingerbread made with yummy dark molasses instead of some of the pale versions you sometimes see in stores.
The greeting on this tag is also from the Peace on Earth stamp set. This bag is filled with cinnamon popcorn.

Great idea and I love how you have coloured your little ginger bread men, specially like the idea of the white "icing".

Adorable little bags. The gingerbread is perfect for the front! I too like the white 'icing'. Very cute.

These bags are just adorable, and the contents look almost as good as the decorated fronts! Cinnamon popcorn sounds wonderful, I hope I get one of these bags for Christmas :)

Hugs,
Robin
