Aloha

Location: Kahana, Oahu, Hawaii
This was my home for the last couple of weeks. Our condo was on the 14th floor.

When you stepped out on the lanai and looked to the right, this is what you saw. The rainbow was a pleasant surprise.

When you looked straight ahead, it was all water...and the other end of the rainbow.

When you looked to the left, you had a view of a small mountain. We were told that at the base is an old burial ground...that explains the rock walls and unusual rock formations.

It was a long way down from the 14th floor.

Not to be outdone by the lanai, this was the view from the walkway to the front door.

Almost paradise...pina colada missing!

Kualoa ridge on the 4000 acre Kualoa cattle ranch.

Hangin' loose on the Kualoa Ranch.

Some of the trees there just begged to be climbed.

The windward side of Oahu.

We watched green sea turtles and whales on their daily excursions.

This fellow was rescued from a tangle of fishing line by some guys that were spear fishing. He was taken to a sea life rehabilitation center until well enough to be released back into the ocean.

Came across this beautiful tide pool.

A little beauty where you least expect it.

Found among the sand and rocks.

The only sunset while we were there that was not totally cloud covered. What a wondrous sight! There is something so beautiful about seeing paradise go to sleep.

Now it's back to reality and the grandkids coming for their spring break.
