Wednesday Stamper-Open Theme

As most of you already know my friends Louise and Pam and I are busily making ATCs to take for trading on the Tim Holtz Art Cruise coming up in October. These are two of my western themed ATCs. They are for today's open theme on the Wednesday Stamper Challenge.
Stamps are from CHF, Tim Holtz, and Artistic Illusions.

Wednesday Stamper-Metal

I wanted to experiment with some metal this morning and when I checked the challenge at Wednesday Stamper I found that metal was the subject this week.
I stamped the snowflake image from Rubbernecker with Stazon ink on the back of a piece of blue metal from Ten Seconds Studio. I embossed it on the back then turned it to the blue side and sanded and used a wire brush around the image. The metal is mounted on a 4 X 4 chipboard and trimmed with vintage tinsel.
I also decided never to use such an intricate stamp again because too much detail was lost in the embossing. Next time I'll stick to a bolder image.

Wednesday Stamper-Angels

Angels is the theme of Wednesday Stamper and I don't have any angel stamps! I found this image of the little angel in the Crafty Secrets Christmas Images and Journal Notes booklet. The background is a blend of TH distress inks in antique linen, faded jeans, and peeled paint overstamped with a beautiful border stamp from Hero Arts.

Wednesday Stamper Challenge-Transparent Art

Ohhhhhh!!!

I couldn't quite decide how to photograph a transparency without a lot of background clutter so I opted to try a boring white beadboard background so the stamping would show. I used a Tim Holtz collage stamp on a clear card sheet from Cornish Heritage Farms (these are great...you should try them). The pumpkins are German scrap. And this is my submission for the Wednesday Stamper Challenge.

Wednesday Stamper-Circles

Gypsy Rose

The focus on the Wednesday Stamper challenge is circles. I used a plastic cap from a spray bottle to stamp the circles with Brilliance starlite silver ink for the background.

Wednesday Stamper Challenge

Today's News

Today's challenge has us using the newspaper in our creations. I used news clip from a 1942 newspaper that I just happened to have! Stamps are by Technique Tuesday and unknown maker alphabet stamps. Light distressing was done by sanding. Submissions can be seen on Wednesday Stamper.
