Happy Day Tag
Here's a cheerful little tag to brighten your day.
The paper is from the Hip Hop patterned cardstock collection from Red Rubber Designs. The "happy day" stamp is included in the All Occasion Icons rubber stamp set also found at Red Rubber Designs. I embellished with gauze, paper flowers, leaves and a die cut fence.
This is my last "official" post for Red Rubber Designs as my term on their Design Team is at an end. It has been a year full of excitement...(it's fun to receive design team packages), challenges...(outside of my comfort zone at times), and being blessed with new friends...(after a year, I guess they are now old friends:).
A special thanks to Pam for allowing me into the inner sanctum of the rubber stamp industry. I'll cut rubber and pack paper for you any time!

Girlz and Boyz Tags
Welcome to another installment of Once Upon a Child the theme this month at Red Rubber Designs. Today I have a fun little set of tags and sleeve using the rubber stamp set Girlz & Boyz.
This is the Girlz side of the sleeve using papers from the Catelynne Patterned Cardstock Collection. I ran the paper through an embossing folder then added tabs from the cardstock collection, some glitzy stones, and a paper punched lace border.
The tags use the same Catelynne paper and the girlz are from the Girlz & Boyz stamp set. I have used a combination of paper piecing and markers to dress up the little girlz. The bows are bakers' twine.
Now if you turn the sleeve over, you will find the boyz. For the boyz I have used papers from the Hip Hop Patterned Cardstock Collection. The frog, from the Hip Hop collection, has been cut out and embossed with clear ep.

Chair-ished Friend Tag
Looking for a pretty chair stamp? Red Rubber Designs has it. The set is called Chair-ished Friend and includes the chair, a script background with chandelier, two sentiments, and a hand-stamped postmark.
I have made a multi-layered tag using papers from the Willoughby Patterned Cardstock Collection and the Chair-ished Friend stamp set.
I used 5 layers of paper for the tag then added the image and embellishments.
The lace and bottlecap were given to me by my friend Robin.

Here is a quick little tag featuring the Flower Bet rubber stamp alphabet set from Red Rubber Designs.
I added a couple of vintage school photos and a sweet little schoolgirl image.

Gerbera Daisy Tag
The Gerbera daisy is one of my favorite flowers. It comes in so many different colors and has such a happy face! The Gerbera Daisy rubber stamp from Red Rubber Designs shows off the perfection of this flower beautifully.
For my background I started with a manila tag then layered with an old dictionary page, papers from the Reese Patterned Cardstock Collection, distress inks, and images from the Fanciful Vintage and Vintage Background rubber stamp sets. The Gerbera has been paper pieced. I needed a small word on my little oval tag so chose the "thanks" from a stamp in the Background Soup Set.
I have embellished with corrugated paper, medical gauze colored with distress inks, a scrabble game piece, an old washer, a swivel, and a stick pin.

Blossom Tag
It's Friday evening! Are the presents wrapped, cookies baked, all preparations completed? Good for you. If not, you probably need a little break. Come sit down for a minute.
A little break here from all of the Christmas art and cards that are everywhere right now. I am showing a large tag using one of the new releases by Red Rubber Designs. The stamp set I used is Blossoms and Blessings. This set includes 8 stamps including 3 blossoms, 2 leaves, and 3 sentiments.
The papers and small tags that I used are from the Amberly Grace Patterned Cardstock Collection and the Pemberly Bay Matchbook Kit.
The large blossom has been stamped, embossed and fussy cut. For the center of the blossom I used copper colored micro beads.
The stem for the bud as well as the embellishments by the leaves is copper wire from an old light fixture. A small strip of rusty wire screen finishes off the corner.
I am entering this in the Try It On Tuesday "lucky dip"challenge. I used die cuts, ribbon, distressing, and a stamped image.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful holiday.
Merry Christmas!

Just Because Challenge
It's the third Thursday of the month and time for another Just Because Challenge over at Red Rubber Designs. The challenge is to make a tag in a shape other than the usual rectangular shape.
I used one of the motifs from the Victorian Embellishments rubber stamp set as the focal point for my tag. I stamped it twice on an oval shape then colored with markers. I then mounted it on a tag cut with the Fancy Tags Two from Spellbinders and in turn layered that on a piece of velvet paper and trimmed to shape. I finished off the tag with a fairy charm and cord with tassel.
I liked the first tag so much that I decided to make another in a different palette.
I hope you will join us for this challenge...there is a prize involved. For more information, go to

Designer Tags
When I was assigned to use the rubber stamp set Medallions from Red Rubber Designs this month I knew that I really liked the designs but wasn't quite sure what I was going to do with them.
Here's a look at the set:
Really pretty, aren't they? All of a sudden I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them and hoped that it turned out the way I had envisioned. (I was thinking vintage textile patterns.)
Here are the results.
I went about this tag the same way but colored it with markers then spritzed with Olive Vine Glimmer Mist to tone down the colors. The added "thank you" is also from the Vintage Greetings set. I used a #6 tag for this one.
Once again I used pencils for coloring and spritzed with the Glimmer Mist.
I hope that this will make you look at decorative single image stamps from a different viewpoint.
I am linking this to the Try it on Tuesday challenge where the theme is "Anything Goes".
Here are the results.
I stamped the medallion multiple times then colored with pencils and spritzed with Olive Vine Glimmer Mist. The added "friend" tag is from the Vintage Greetings rubber stamped set also released this month. I used a # 8 manila tag.
Once again I used pencils for coloring and spritzed with the Glimmer Mist.
I hope that this will make you look at decorative single image stamps from a different viewpoint.
