Recycling

I did this card for a recycle challenge being held during the SummerHaven event at StampHaven. The challenge is to recycle and use objects that are not normally used in cardmaking.
For the outer ruffle, I used an aluminum tart or mini pie tin, inked with gold alcohol ink. I cut off the edge to make the little straps going through the eyelets on the side of the card. The layer with the Greek key design is a wax backed tissue paper coaster from a hotel. I colored it with TH distress inks. The metal flourish is the antler from a reindeer Christmas tree ornament that met with a little accident. I used gold AI and distress stickles on it.
The main image is from the Glamour Girl set by Clearly Vintage stamps. The grid bg stamp is from CHF.
Soooo...be careful what you throw away...it might be a treasure!

You have really combined your little bits and bobs together very nicely. How smart to hang onto the Christmas ornament part. A really wonderful end result!

What a great job recycling Sarah! Your stamped image really stands out against the subdued background.
