This Belding Heminway sewing silks chest has been in my family as long as I can remember (and longer). I spent many hours playing with the spools of thread in the top drawer. It dates to pre-1930 as the company went out of business around the time of the depression.
The top drawer is full of those old wooden spools of colorful thread. The second drawer houses needle folders, buttons, rick rack and some seam binding. The lower drawer is home to more spools as well as buttons, lace and odds and ends.

Oh my, I'm drooling over that! I've seen them at antique stores before, and the prices were scary. Yours looks like it's in excellent condition. A treasure for sure!
I wish I had one of those thread cabinets.
regarding VTT button--I copied the the original one and modified it because it didn't make sense to me that it still said VTT was at "apron lady." I cut off the bottom part because I prefer smaller buttons. Anyone can copy it.
