Vintage Thingie Thursday

Have been watching Vintage Thingie Thursday on Colorado Lady's blog and thought I would join in this week.

This little set of cookware has seen many mud pies, stick casseroles and sand and rock stews. The roaster measures about 4 inches from handle to handle...the coffee pot is missing its lid...and the waffle maker is just the cutest. And they are part of my childhood and still hold fond memories of days spent under the trees playing chef in the dirt!

If you would like to see more of my vintage treasures you can check them out here.

So nice and you saved all of it. Isn't it nice to have treasures from your childhood. Nice to have all the memories to go with it.

They look so familiar to me. I wonder if a childhood friend had a set. Happy VTT. Here's mine:

Oh my gosh!!! I love them. My sister and I spent hours on end under our big tree making mud pies and "cooking". What memories you brought back. Happy VTT and have a lovely weekend.

WHat a great set of dishes. I had a set similar but it was plastic instead of tin. Love your set with the red handles.

Those dishes are so cute! Did you ever use play dough to make waffles with??

Oh my goodness. You still have those from your childhood?
It's funny, when I look at all the things everyone has, I feel a tinge of jealousy but it's quickly squelched. Everyone on VTT is just so nice, I'm so happy you joined!

oh i love them..what an adorable toy cookery set :)

That is a great set of toy tin dishes. I have never seen the waffle maker, either. It is just awesome! I played in the dirt my fair share growing up, too! It was SO much more fun when we had "real" kitchen stuff/utensils to use. Thanks for the post and for stopping by!
