SAWO-Salted Backgrounds
I was glad to see that the challenge today on Saturday's Workout was salted backgrounds. I have wanted to try this technique. The only problem being that I liked them so much that I hated to cover them up! On the first bg I used TH distress inks in spiced marmalade and peeled paint. On the second one I used weathered wood and black soot. The metal embellishments were cut and embossed using the Spellbinders symbology die. Tree stamp from Ann-ticipation.

So glad to see you back and creating!
What fascinating backgrounds...each one so different!
FABULOUS backgrounds! Love the cards too, but the backgrounds truly caught my eye! I must try this someday.
Both of these are fabulous. I agree, too pretty to cover up.
Those metal stampings are just fantastic!
Both are beautiful!
OMG these are stunning.
Fantastic cards with wonderful backgrounds. Love them.
Thanks Sarah for playing this technique on SaWo.
Wonderful backgrounds and great ATCs, Sarah!
Gorgeous backgrounds! Love the first one especially. Beautiful browns.
These are yummy! I have never seen salted background in that pattern. How cool is that! I am going to have to try this! Thanks for sharing!!!!

Wonderful, both of them.
Both are fantastic. I always feel that way about my backgrounds. I hate to cover them up. But the trees are non-invasive and your backgrounds shine through just fine. Look great.
Great looking backgounds and cards!
I love the colors in both of them. I feel like you, I did'nt want to cover them up to much.
These are AWESOME... I need to try this.
