Treasure Tuesday

Button Hooks
If you saw the baby shoes here last week and wondered how they managed to get those little buttons buttoned, here is your answer. These are shoe button hooks. You put the hook end through the buttonhole then carefully pull the button through the hole. A smaller version was made for gloves. My mother had to use one of these to hook all of the tiny buttons down the back of my wedding gown.

How fun! And how glad am I that I don't have to use one of those things!! LOL

You know, every time I see "Treasure Tuesday" I feel like there needs to be theme music....

I honestly never thought how they laced those shoes...I was consumed with how they managed to get them tied on a screaming, wiggling baby.
Can I suggest for next week's treasure a picture of you in that wedding dress:)

Love the explanation that goes with the hooks! I can see how one would come in handy for a wedding gown!

Okay, who knew that these existed! Can you imagine lacing with these. They look like crochet hooks and rightly so!
